    Hello John,

If you meant to remove an uninstall entry for a program in "Programs and Features", then the tutorial below may be able to help.

Programs and Features - Remove Uninstall Entry - Vista Forums

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

I am trying to get rid of "Uninsatall or change a program" off the the control panel. Is there a way to do this without uninstalling the programs and reinstalling them? I am considering iobit. John

Also How do I do the same for Disk Fragmenter? John

Been doing what Brink posted in that tutorial link since XP, heh.

It's a trivial registry edit; open up the tutorial he linked to, it's step #8 of option 3. What I do is simply copy-paste the UninstallString into notepad, then delete that registry key. I save the notepad paste because I'll need it when I eventually DO need to uninstall the program, of course...

    John,

OPTION TWO in the tutorial linked above would be the easiest way to remove those programs from being listed in "Programs and Features" without uninstalling the programs.

I think he doesn't want to see "Uninstall a program" anywhere in windows

You will have to get of Programs and features to do that.

    JOhn,

If what SIW (Simon) posted is true, then you could use a method in the tutorial below to hide the "Programs and Features" icon, or any other icon, in the Control Panel.

You're welcome John, but could you clarify which one you were wanting? We were not sure if you wanted to remove the program from the list, or remove "Programs and Features".
