You're welcome John, but could you clarify which one you were wanting? We were not sure if you wanted to remove the program from the list, or remove "Programs and Features".

In Windows 7 you have to use the canonical () name for each applet you wish to hide.

    Example:

    Action Center Microsoft.ActionCenter

    Administrative Tools Microsoft.AdministrativeTools

    AutoPlay Microsoft.AutoPlay

    Backup and Restore Microsoft.BackupAndRestore

    BiometricDevices Microsoft.BiometricDevices

    Full list HERE.

    Hello Fimble,

It will work using either the canonical name, or just entering the name exactly as it appears in Control Panel icons view. I just found it easier to reference the Control Panel instead.

See. You learn something new every day! Now, where's the bu**er who misinformed me?

You're right (of course!!). Just tried it. That'll save some typing.
