| | I am trying to get rid of "Uninsatall or change a program" off the the control panel. Is there a way to do this without uninstalling the programs and reinstalling them? I am considering iobit. John  Also How do I do the same for Disk Fragmenter? John |

| | Been doing what Brink posted in that tutorial link since XP, heh. It's a trivial registry edit; open up the tutorial he linked to, it's step #8 of option 3. What I do is simply copy-paste the UninstallString into notepad, then delete that registry key. I save the notepad paste because I'll need it when I eventually DO need to uninstall the program, of course... |

John OPTION TWO in the tutorial linked above would be the easiest way to remove those programs from being listed in "Programs and Features" without uninstalling the programs. |

| | You're welcome John, but could you clarify which one you were wanting? We were not sure if you wanted to remove the program from the list, or remove "Programs and Features". |
