I use that. Maybe i didn't explain properly what i want.
After i chagne my theme, the default logon image is back, so i have to set again my prefered image.
All i want is to delete the default logon screen image and replace it with my prefered one, as default.

here is a different method you can try, it does the same but set the default to whatever you want, it requires you to resize the image if needed.

Windows 7 starter
Welcome screen,

Hi, the problem i have is with the windows logo on the welcome screen, if i could get the welcome screen removed it would be great. I have tried editing the authui.dll file and adding the layoutpos="none" to the element id="atom(Branding)" line. this works on windows 7 pro and ultimate, but it does not work on windows starter and Home. Could someone please help?

Stop littering internet with garbage or incomplete answers.

Using the Registry in Windows 7, Vista, Windows XP Home and Professional

Although all of these can be done using the registry, I will not recommend that because your password will be seen directly.

Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

and create a new DefaultPassword string value and set your password.

Finally, set the three registry settings below:

DefaultUserName (String)
AutoAdminLogon (DWORD), set to 1

also do

dontdisplaylastusername set to 1

Go to Control Panel, Power Options. At the top of the list on the left is: "Require a password on wakeup." Click on that. At the bottom of the screen is "Change settings that are currently unavailable" Click on that sentence. Check mark "Don't require a password on wakeup"

I found it while setting up my new computer with Windows 7 and haven't been bothered since.
I love it when somebody gives the correct answer as you have. I hate having to plow through all the nonsense like what people posted before you.
