On-screen keyboard problem I have a Win 7 64 bit HP. I would like to be able to use the on-screen keyboard. I have read and did what was suggested in the tutorial to install/start the on-screen keyboard. Did not work. I get a pop up screen stating: "Could not start on screen keyboard".
I have looked thru the 'services', but could find on that looked as if it would work if started.
Any ideas or other suggestions?

Did it ever work?
You could try SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker to see if there are any corrupted/missing system files.
Next, try On-Screen Keyboard - Vista Forums again.
If that doesn't work, it is possible that your user profile is corrupted. Try creating a new account to see if that helps. LOL, well ok, that was a real helpful error message it gave.
It is able to run while logged in another user account?
You might see if running a sfc /scannow command may be able to help if it was a issue with it's system file.
If not, then you might toggle turning off and on Tablet PC Components in Windows Features to see if it'll fix it.

Thanks Suggestion :
The exe file of onscreen keyboard is osk.exe.
It can be found in .... C:\Windows\System32\OSK.EXE My lazy way.....
Start > search box, type osk.exe > press Enter. Will that work ? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Acer Aspire 7741Z OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, SP1 CPU Intel Pentium P6200, Cores 2, 2.13 GHz Memory 4 GB Graphics Card Intel HD Sound Card unknown Monitor(s) Displays 17.3 inches Screen Resolution 1600 x 900 Hard Drives 640 GB, 5400 PRM |

Thanks Hi.
Try this... On-Screen Keyboard Shortcut - Create
copy this %windir%\system32\osk.exe and paste it the <<create a new shortcut>> in ur desktop.
And you will have this...(view attachment) then try to start the vk with ur new shortcut.
Give it a try you dont have anything to lose
