    Desktop background slide show option

hi. just have an hp dv7 1135nr. running win 7 64 home premium. originally i had the desktop slideshow option. but had my drivers corrupted and used my disk to re-install. after a grueling time giving myself permission for all my pics again and loading them into my own theme file i noticed that the option to have all the pics as a slideshow was not there. so since this is the exact same cd i used to install 7 the first time anybody mind telling me just what the hell happened to my options?

    Hi! Mr M, welcome to 7F :)

With your reinstall some of your settings may have reverted to default.

Have you checked to make sure the settings in the Red Warning box were turned on, and you are using the Aero theme?

And, that the setting in step 11 was set to available?

I am going to have to sign-off for now, there is a pretty bad lighting show outside now, and I am going to shut down for the night.

Problem Solved. Stardock Deskscapes was the culprit. it changed the registry to prevent a slideshow option and selecting the photos the same way 7 basic and starter editions do not have those options. so i've sent a mail to demand a refund to stardock. heck it wouldn't even load the animated desktops anyways so no loss. i think it wasn't compatible fully with 7 as it was with vista
