Windows Explorer customization

From the desktop icon, I would like Windows Explorer always to open to a certain directory. How do I customize Explorer to do that? Thanks.

Hello Arthur,

You could use the same process in the tutorial below to change it to open to where you like. However, you could also just create a new shortcut for that location as well.

Windows Explorer Taskbar Icon - Change Open To Target

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Thank you, Shawn.

Worked perfectly. I wanted it to go to my computer, so I used:
%windir%\explorer.exe shell:MyComputerFolder

That's a nice tip. I was typing %AppData% in the search box to get the Roaming folder. I just changed it to shell:AppData. Now Roaming comes up with one click.
