Hello,
I have been looking for Systray clock skins for my Windows 7 Home Premium x64 SP1 machine. In the search process, I came to notice a problem with the display of the skins.
If I set my Desktop to solid white color (no wallpaper), all the Systray clock skins I have tried display very vaguely. Simply indiscernible.
Later, I gradually found that the darker the Desktop color is, the more clearly the Systray clock skin displays. When my Desktop is set to sheer black color, the Systray clock skins display most clearly.
I also found that if the "Enable transparent glass" option is
not selected for visual effects, the Systray clock skins display very vaguely, too,
even when the Desktop color is black.
The following picture shows a clear Systray clock skin (of Weather Clock v4.3) when my Desktop is set to black color and Transparent Glass is turned on:
The following picture shows an unclear Systray clock skin (same one as above) when either my Desktop is set to white color or Transparent Glass is disabled:
My question is:"Why can't the Systray clock skins clearly display when either the Desktop is pale-colored or the Transparent Glass is disabled?" Is it a Window 7 bug?
PS: If you want to re-create the problem, Weather Clock v4.3 (shareware) from Respect Software can be downloaded from Softpedia:

Weirdly it can't be downloaded straight from Respect Software.
