System sound

I have Windows 7 Home premium. I don't like any system sounds what-so-ever. I don't like to click on something and here some sort of a sound. I realize that there is a place where I can change or mute the various system sounds. But there are dozens of them. Is there a way to mute all system sounds with out having to turn of each one individually?

Then select "No Sounds" in the sound scheme drop-down menu.

Thank you for your response. I went into Control Panel and found the place to turn off all system sounds.

I have given up on getting a good 5.1 or 7.1 sound system for my pc since it requires a receiver and all. What I am looking for right now is a 2.1 sound system that can be directly plugged in to my Asus Xonar D2X sound card. The system should have a really decent subwoofer with tight and deep...
