Windows 7: Large Icon Display in Explorer Window

Attached is a screen shot of a folder's contents which include 3 folders of mostly music files. I have learned that if a folder contains an image file with the name 'folder.jpg', the contents will display as shown for folders 'Disc1' and 'Disc 2'. However, any other name for the jpg file and it will display as shown for 'Disc 3'. I would like to be able to give the jpg file any name and have the folder icon display like 'Disc 1' and "Disc 2'. Does anyone know of any settings or tricks I can perform to achieve this?

Download Mp3tag - the universal Tag Editor (ID3v2, MP4, OGG, FLAC, ...) and apply an image as album art tag, you need not to use Folder.jpg.

Although the files will show on the folder with the image you want ,it will show several as files not as a single file image ,i use mp3tg and this has always been the case
a different way of doing it to have the image of any name , right click the folder select properties/customize /choose file button then select the image you want.
no need to tag or rename files.

thnx boobah -now that's the kind of solution I seek! Unfortunately, I cannot find the 'customize' section in the properties dialogue. Here's what I did. I single clik on the folder 'Disc 3' so that it is highlighted/selected. I leave the cursor/pointer on the folder icon and right clik, then choose the properties. Image attached. I checked all the tabs. Am I doing this correctly? help!

You have to open the folder in it's original location not through libraries. Right click the folder though libraries and select "open folder location". Then right click that folder and you will see the customize option.

I have had a similar problem and posted on it for a while but I guess my wording confused people because I never got this solution.

I will be curious how it works because I don't think it has worked for me. You can read my post. Somehow my folders not displaying correct is tied to Media Player even though I don't use it to manage my music. You can send me a PM and we can talk further as I'd really like to resolve this too.

Bru is correct go to the root folder that the file is in then the customize tab will be showing in the folders properties.
