How to delete the Windows Default sound scheme?

    Summer greetings!

I was wondering if the installed sound scheme in 7 can be deleted altogether, or at least be replaced with different sounds and become the new installed Windows Default. Why? I hate it. It's vista's sound scheme and kind of scares me a little to think that Microsoft might take apple's route and use that sound scheme for a decade. NO! And the sound scheme I have is just oh so beautiful...

I have ResHacker and Restorator 2007 installed so I can do some altering of Windows' files to do this.

    Thanks!

if you right click desktop and select personalize then click sounds, in the sounds window there is a dropdown to select different sound themes and there is a no sound option as well .

That's a pretty awesome theme there!

But what I'm looking for is to either permanently delete Windows Default or to replace the .wav resources for the scheme...

You can change the wav resources if you like.Just drop your wav file into C:\Windows\Media.Go to personalization\sounds choose the sound you want to change\browse and select your wav file.

All sound files must be in wav format for this to work

Ok, I guess I already had this figured out. I was looking at a couple of systems that I had the sound scheme configured and I saw that there was only one Windows Default sound scheme. It looks as so you have to save the sound scheme as Windows Default, say yes to a popup box that says if you want to replace the existing one, THEN hit apply. It'll save as on scheme and in theory should always stay like that?
