Help with Desktop

Hi, I've suddenly noticed system folders have appeared in my desktop folder under Favourites. I don't recall seeing them there before and was just wondering if the Desktop was their natural home or have they accidentally been put there. I've attached a screenshot to show you. Many thanks.

I looked at my desktop folder and I have a System folder along with the same folders you have, but not including the red folders you have. You don't have the System folder I have. I think your system folder got opened exposing the other red folders. I could be wrong but that's what it looks like to me.

Looks like you need to look at these two settings in Folder Options, View, Advanced Settings:
1. Check: Hide Protected Operating and Systems Files; and
2. Check: Hidden Files and Folders: Hide Hidden Files, Folders or Drives
