My desktop background wont stay changed.

When ever I change my background after I restart my computer it turns into a blue solid color. I want my backgrounds to stay because now every time I restart my computer I have to change it. Under the personalization panel it shows I still have a picture seleteced but it just wont show anything into I click a new picture.

Make sure HP doesn't have any wallpaper programs installed on your computer that could be changing it..

If you are moving the selected picture after you make it a background, that may do this.
Some files may be corrupted too, run this SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker option 2 first. If corruption is found, run 2 more times rebooting between them. If not fixed, try option one instead.

Il run a scan and see how that goes. There are tons of silly HP stuff on my computer but I dont remember if any control themes or not. IL have to check.

    Wallpaper

Yes I have tried all suggestions and none worked. That's why I posted.
I think I may have resolved the issue but would still like to know the cause. I was messing with it last night and noticed that I could save pretty much everything but black. So I just chose a different color clicked more and drug the slider to black and was able to save that.

good you figured a work around at least. There are a lot of problems which are sloved without finding a root cause. It could have been some combination of things you did, a corrupted files, or Windows gremlins.:)
