How I hide Apple Ithmb files?

I would like to hide them permanently, including newly created files. Is there a way to do this?

Since iTunes is the only PC software that creates ITHMB files when synchronizing photos, and those are always located in the iPod Photo Cache folder, perhaps, the easiest way is to hide the iPod Photo Cache folder, and not mess with hiding the ITHMB files?
