| | How to: Auto hide taskbar + Always Stay on top ? I was just wondering if there is anyway that I could set my windows 7 task bar to auto hide all the time, plus always stay on top. It already auto hides fine but sometimes I open a maximized window and it covers the small task bar thing at the bottom when it auto hides. So when I need open the task bar by hovering over it, I can't and have to minimize the window I had open, and that gets very annoying. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks. |

| | I read a bit earlier and the way I made it seem was that It replaced the auto hide part with stay on top part. But I will try it and let you know. |

| | Yeah, It does exactly what I thought, it does NOT let task bar stay on top AND disables auto hide. its the complete opposite of what I want :P |

| | Use WIN + T to give focus to the Taskbar at any time. Use WIN + D to give focus to the Desktop at any time. Use WIN + Spacebar to show desktop until you release the WIN key. WIN is the key with wavy microsoft flag on top. |

| | Guess I could learn to use those hot keys, but it feels unnatural to me since I'm sure to just mousing over to the small area at the bottom of my screen to make the task bar pop up, and it just gets annoying when I can't do that. Just seems like there would be a simple solution to this around, always on top but I guess not. |

I hate the pull the mouse off the screen to make it pop over business. I'd rather have smaller maximized windows that don't cover stuff I don't want covered. You can try Adjust Work Area instead of AutoHide. It's free so if you don't like it just delete it.  |

| | I also would like this functionality I would also like the taskbar to remain always on top when using autohide. It is very annoying to have to move a window out of the way in order to be able to pull up the hidden taskbar. The usefulness of autohide is eliminated if you have to move things out of the way to get it back. I'm also not interested in using a hotkey to pull up my taskbar. |
