    Trying to build a Custom Theme

    So I am attempting to make a Custom Theme:

    I am using this tutorial to help:
    http://thecustomizewindows.com/2010/...d-party-theme/

    And here are some designs of what I want it to look like which I doubt I will ever get it to look like:

    I am currently trying to make the make the Folderband Black/Grey (I think that is located at 891/1033 of aeromsstyles) like Bongo has set it at:

    If anyone can help me design a Custom Theme, I would really appreciate it.

    Thank you, Joe.

    Most of the theme designers use Ave's Windows7 Style Builder to create theme msstyle . After that , you may follow all the parts of the tutorial.

    In our forums, Bongo is highly knowledgeable in these stuff .

    I have Ave's Style Builder too, but also no idea how to use it or ResHacker/Restorator.

    I think it is an old version, I had to go through quite a few pages on Google to find it.

    there's no trial version in WSB and to recolor your folderband you need to edit shellstyle.dll in your theme's folder;

    for example if you want to edit the default aero theme;
    "C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\Aero\Shell\NormalColor\shellstyle.dll"

    Im not good in this stuff but Im getting there my 1st theme and in WIP is Simple 8 Theme on dA & and in my blog

    I too wanted someone to help me improve simple 8 with the great knowledge in this field.
