Windows 7 - Taskbar

I know this is only a beta but compare Vista and Windows 7's taskbar and I think, aesthetically, Vista's wins by a long shot. First of all, the start button in Vista just looks like it fits perfectly right into its little slot and in 7, it's just kind of "there". The other thing, is that Vista's looks so sleek and 3D while 7's is flat and quite boring. I don't like Vista much but, it hands down wins the best looking windows award.

EDIT: Another thing is the show desktop button at the far right. I think it either should have an option to remove it or make it stand out less and go along with the look of the rest of the taskbar.

eww no, Vista's was ugly and didnt fit in with the rest of the design at all. I'm loving the new style taskbar.

When you use seven for a while and then switch back into Vista, it does look pretty ugly. LOL

lol, yeah it does. Not to mention I keep trying to 'snap' windows in Vista

I have that installed too, but I still try to make windows the full height of the monitor by dragging one edge. LOL.

True that is a nice feature that this doesn't do, I guess they hadn't discovered that when they made the program.

I hope they release 7 right after summer cause i don't wanna use vista again

I can't believe no one else thinks the start button looks like it was just stuck on there without a slot like vista to make it look decent when you are not using the small icons option. i wish there was a way to get the start button to stick up a bit above the taskbar like vista without making the icons microscopic.
