How do I change an obscure program's background color?

Specifically, Celtx, a free screenwriting word processor. I'm getting eyestrain from staring at its white screen all day, and it has no background color change options.

I've tried brightness/contrast/etc settings for my monitor and for the NVIDIA control panel, but they hardly affect whites at all. Windows appearance settings (i.e. colors for backgrounds, scrollbars, highlighted icons, etc.) don't affect Celtx either.

Right now I'm using F.lux, a lovely program that darkens the monitor based on the time of day, but I'm looking for a way to darken a single program instead of my entire display. Maybe there's some other third-party program/hack that does what I'm looking for?

    Thanks

If it's using a standard windows window template for the application (which 99% of everything does)
the only way to change it is to actually change the color scheme for your windows.
This gets tricky though as all text is black in windows by default, and menus, message boxes, and many other things will have to be changed so you can still read system text.

Yeah, I actually tried that though, and Celtx refuses to change colors.

Fortunately, I did find a solution--a free little program called GhostWin that lets you make individual windows transparent. I can put a dark background image behind Celtx, make it 30-40% transparent, and no more eyestrain.
