Possible to add a sound to wrong password on logon?

Me and my friend at college are messing around with computers and are trying to get his personal one pretty much all on a starcraft theme. We have been getting pretty far, his OS is Windows 7 Build 7600. We want to get it so that if a wrong password is entered, it says "Access Code Denied" in the old starcraft synthesized-like female voice. We have the audio clips, but we need to figure out how to incorporate that sound. It's obviously not in Control Panel -> Sound -> Sounds, as I found out
I did some intensive googling, and I came to the conclusion that it involves a bit of registry adding and visual basic. I don't know squat about VB and I only know a small bit of how regedit works.

Here is what I have extracted so far:

On an event like "windows logon" there is a linked .dll file

    mmres.dll -5853

    Really it says this, verbatim:

    Name Type Data

    (Default) Reg_SZ Windows Logon
    DispFile Name Reg_SZ @mmres, -5853

To actually add to the registry an event like this, I went here:

CodeProject: Creating Your Own Sound Alerts. Free source code and programming help

So what I understand is, the only thing I am missing is the switch at the end. I think that the data field will still have mmres.dll, but I still need the switch, such as mmres, -wxyz

I don't know if this place would happen to have a couple visual basic peeps, but this is something that started out as a light side project to a gaint plan to pretty much make his dorm room a totally decked out man cave. If anyone knows how to do this, please tell! I don't care anymore if its a youtube video or a heap of text, doesnt matter to me.

Btw, sorry for the long ass post, but I have problems shortening things up. ^^

    Cheers and big ups, djdaft

i'm under the impression this is listed in the system sounds panel, as i have no sounds, and no sound plays when i enter a wrong password, but i remember it did play a sound when i had sounds set.

your right! its not listed! and i cant even get any sound to play with a wrong password!
do you have ANY sound play when you enter a wrong password? if not, i think you'll have to do more than just reg+vb changes, as no sound plays, theres probably no event triggered which means the winlogon exe will have to be edited, which would be difficult and would probaby be easier to setup an autologin and use a fake logon screen
