Depends - the best way to do it is indeed to change the screen text size using the display control panel applet (125 or 150% works great at a distance). You only need to change it and logoff once, so that's your best bet.

Hello Mat,

You could see if lowering the screen resolution to have everything appear bigger may help without having to restart or log off. You may need to try different resolutions to have one that looks good to you since not using the native resolution may have things appear a bit blurry.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Big is relative - I find, when I have multiple displays, that 125% works best. That's at 1920x1200 resolution on all of the monitors, of course, but yes. I'm not a fan of monkeying with the resolution, simply because that makes things blurry if not using the native resolution (and for those of us with bad eyes, this is *not* a reasonable tradeoff).

Using TV as PC Monitor. Text is a little fuzzy.
I wanted a monitor larger than my 22 inch Samsung but reasonably priced 23 inch or 24 inch monitors wouldn't have made much of a difference and a 27 inch monitor was more than I wanted to spend. I had read lots of articles about using a TV as a PC monitor so I was forewarned about the text...

Monitor Text wobble concern
Hey, I have just brought a BENQ HD2200 22" 1920 x 1080 monitor. All seemed fine but the other day I noticed that my desktop icons on the edge of the screen showed the most noticable amount of wobble. It looks like interference, but I can't see what might be doing it. The only other things I can...
