I want to change to old start menu like in windows xp.

How can change windows 7's start menu to old start menu like in windows xp?

You can Get it back by installing XP other than that you will just have live with the crappy Windows 7 start menu.

Yeah, this is the best you'll get from the properties.

Either go back to XP, or wait until (if) someone hacks it?

Thank you for your kind reply.

At this link "https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/888-quick-launch-enable-disable.html" I found old menu article at "on User Configuration, Administrative Templates, and Start Menu and Taskbar on gpedit.msc".

I changed it, but not worked.

I maybe wait for someone's hack.

I never said I didn't know how to change it. I asked "Why would you want to, because there is nothing wrong with it".

My thinking behind that particular question was why go through all the trouble of upgrading to a new version of Windows, or beta testing a pre-release, if you are going to hack it to pieces to make it look and act like the previous versions of Windows?

And no, I'm not a noob.

Peter is most definitely not a noob and I agree with him. Why upgrade just so you can change stuff back to the way it was. Learn and get comfortable with the new way and you may find you like it better. I did.
