    customizing task bar

One thing i don't like about W7 is the new task bar. I don't like having a window in the taskbar when it should be 'closed' and in the notification area.

In this example I'll use Windows Live messenger.
With Vista/XP you could close the main messenger window, and have it drop to the notification area as an icon, and still be open to recieve messages etc.

In W7 it's stuck on the task bar, with no option to be moved to the notification area that i can find. When you close the window, it's still taking up a 'space' on the taskbar, if you close it there, it totally closes the program. I've looked in the program properties, taskbar properties and configure options for the notification area, yet i can't find any way to add WLM there.

How can i configure WLM to drop to the notification area as an icon when i close the main window?

    Hi kormath.

Run it in Vista SP1 or 2 compatibility mode.
