Windows 7 - Windows minimize to top of taskbar |

Windows minimize to top of taskbar I have windows that are minimizing to the top of the task bar. It seems some of them are just sub windows of applications, I cant call them up unless i clear my desktop and then click one. Its as if they are supposed to be minimized to the task bar, but going above it instead. I have searched and searched and not found any solutions.
Any ideas?

Hello Coryg05, and welcome to Seven Forums.
If this has just recently started to happen, then you could do a system restore using a restore point (if available) dated before this started to hopefully undo and fix this.
Hope this helps,

Any ideas? Looks like MDI windows and what you describe is normal for the way the app was coded. If you click the associated program taskbar icon for the minimized MDI window, it will restore it without you clearing all other windows. Looks like a restore/restart cleared it up. Was mainly concerned if this was a setting that could be changed somewhere. If it isn't a standard behavior and just explorer.exe getting mixed up then I guess we are good to go.
Thanks for your replies. Since I am a new member and asked a question as my first post, I will do my best to return the favor by contributing my knowledge to others.

Sorry Joe, but if explorer had been terminated, there wouldn't be a taskbar available. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Self built custom OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1 CPU Intel i7-980X 3.3 Ghz (3.48 Ghz OC'd) Motherboard ASUS P6X58D Premium Memory 12 GB (2GBx6) DDR3 PC3-16000 2000 MHz Kingston HyperX Graphics Card Sapphire HD5870 Eyefinity 6 2GB Sound Card Realtek HD Audio ALC889 Integrated Chip Monitor(s) Displays 3x 27" Asus VE278Q Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 5500 Revolution Mouse Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 5500 Revolution PSU OCZ Series Gold OCZZ1000M 1000W Case Corsair Obsidian 800D Cooling Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme Copper CPU heat sink w/120 MM Hard Drives 160GB OCZ RevoDrive X2
