Hello Koolkat,

Which part did you want to prevent?

If you mean to prevent the taskbar thumbnail preview from displaying while hovering on the taskbar icon, then the tutorial below will help.
Taskbar Thumbnail Previews - Enable or Disable
If you mean to prevent the taskbar thumbnail live preview of the window on the desktop, then you could use the tutorial below to change the delay time to have a very high seconds delay to effectively be the same as disabling it.
Taskbar Thumbnail Live Preview - Change Delay Time
Hope this helps,
Shawn

how did this become a new post?. i remember posting this in one of the tutorial

and its the second link on your post i'm going through it.

does deleting the registry entry for that stop it for permanent? cause i don't want it to appear at all

EDIT:
i got rid of it unchecked the option "enable aero peek" in ~advanced system settings~advance~settings~uncheck aero peek~ i disabled it before but i guess i forgot that aero peek had this feature anyway, to anybody: who wants to stop that preview for permanent do the stuff in bold

Koolkat,

It became a new thread because I moved your post to a new thread since it was unrelated to the tutorial that you posted it in.

I'm happy to hear that you got it sorted.
