How do I edit the Windows 7 Start menu?

Hello. Back when I was an XP user, I was able to add entries to the start menu by going to C:\Documents and settings\USERNAME\start menu (or something like that). I would then be able to add and remove elements as if they were plain folders and files.

I noticed this is gone in Windows 7. How can I add my own entries to the new menu?

Couple of ways. 1/ You can drag & drop. I use right click. 2/ Start menu/right click All Programs. Open or Open all users.

    Thanks

Great this is what I was just looking for. Thank you everybody. I was angry at Windows because I had thought they had removed this feature. Thank you.
