Changing taskbar color with aero/visual effects off

I turned off the aero and visual effects using the performance options in the control panel (selected 'adjust for best performance') so aero is off. I know there's such a thing called Window Color in the personalize category of the control panel, however it doesn't seem to have a taskbar option?

Is the taskbar named something different or is there another way a PC without aero turned on it can change the taskbar's color?

Hello Minosu,

With Aero turned off, you will not have the Windows Color and Appearance window like below available.

Window Color and Appearance - Change

Hope this helps,

In the Tutorial provided by Brink when you use the drop down menu for the taskbar is 3D Objects but that is also going to change the color of some of the parts of the window also
