What happened?

so randomly while changing a background i noticed that the backgrounds of my aero themes (architecture etc.) are not visible anymore please check attached. also, i did an sfc scannow but nothing changed. any help appreciated

My guess is that Windows may treat these thumbnails as part of the icon cache, in which case a reboot should clear up the glitch...

i rebooted after the sfc scannow only change that i made in my computer was installed photoshop cs5 today

Look in C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper and make sure they are still there.

Could be Photoshop CS5 has taken over some default action from windows.

Icon Cache - Rebuild

The disk cleaning did the trick. i usually do a disk clean up every two days, i didn't do it recently, thanks for reminding. now that i did its back to normal ++ for you
