Icon disappeared

    Icon disappeared


    im sure theres a fix for this but can't seem to find the right one
    i tried icon cache rebuild though .

    not sure if it will work ,but try right clicking the icon, select properties/customiIcon disappeared-2012-01-06_1004.pngze tab and then select image to use for this folder icon

    okay, but i want the default icon back.
    any idea where that drive icon is located?

    It is in imageres.dll, icon group#32

    Edit : There is the appropriate one .....

    You said that you have tried Icon Cache - Rebuild . As the next step,
    run SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker .

    If it failed, there is another way , not that easy though, Icons - Change Using Resource Hacker .

    If SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker fails, better you let us know, we will suggest you the next step.

    BTW, you are using 32 bit windows. Is it SP1 installed or not ?

    okay, started the sfc/scannow its 32 bit sp1

    hi Arc,
    thanks. i tried it, but it says "Failed to set data for " " when i click apply..
