    Landscape Wallpaper Experiment

I know landscapes are not necessarily a big topic for wallpapers here, but since that is what I'm into, this is my experiment:

I don't like super-intrusive images as wallpaper, because they're, well, intrusive to my mental workings while I'm on the PC. Many landscapes because they are meant to impress tend to be overbearing after a bit (to my feeble brain at least ). What to do?

If you increase the brightness to make it lighter, it throws off the contrast ratios and mucks up the image. So what I did here is I tinkered with the opacity / transparency to give the overall image less presence without mucking up the overall integrity. I have created several sets, each set has two copies of each image, a light weight (file name ends in L) and a medium weight (ends in M).

If anybody wants to check them out please do and let me know what works and what doesn't, even if nothing works, as they have reduced impact but the idea is to have something that won't drive you bonkers after looking at it in and out all day. Think "pastel images" ...

these are quite nice - its given me an idea! windows 7 has a built in backgraund changer it would be quite cool to have a series of time-lapsed backgrounds changing every 10 mins or so of the same scene.

If you have some nice time-lapse sets it certainly would be a nice idea.
