Change Background Colour of Start menu Hey,
ive got one simple Question, i was watching for a solution, but couldnt find any helpfully to solve my request.
I want to change the Color of the start menu or set an picture in it. For Vista you could change this in a file buy using hexeditor ( gosh dont know the exact instruction to do this). In Windows 7 it seems that MS changed this. Is there somebody who has tryed to change this?
I will send a picture too, so you can see and understand what im talking about. I know my english is bad ( sry for this) http://www.pictureupload.de/original..._StartMenu.jpg
Thank you in advance for informations
Regards,
Borrowjack

Borrowjack If you change Windows color scheme, start menu color is changed too, and you already knew that...
I understand that you want to create custom color for your start menu recent programs pane only...
Is that it??? | My System Specs | | |

Guten Tag, Borrowjack und Willkommen in SevenForums.
You can not change the background color of the recent programs list (the left side of your start menu) without using third party applications. I've seen it done with WindowBlinds.

@all
the statement of Kari is exactly my problem, i was trying to explain to you
Ok, seems that windowsblind isnt working on Windows 7 for now.But buying a programm just for a picture in the start menu isnt the best way, i think...
So no picture for the startmenu =)
