Windows 7: Hide or Remove corners in taskbar?

Hide or Remove corners in taskbar?

Hi everyone i want to ask is if possible to hide the corners or part of the Windows 7 taskbar?



i'm talking about this

and to make it something like this

but hidding the start orb and the clock and date at the side and just leaving the middle part, if this is possible or i'm total screw?

I'm not sure that's possible or practical. If you only kept the middle there wouldn't be any use for it. I think the thing you're looking for though is a dock. You can just hide the task bar all together using the below tutorial.
Taskbar Auto-hide - Turn On or Off

You can then download a dock and add icons to it like you would to the taskbar. I recommend something like RocketDock but other docks such as Stardock are also great.

What you're trying to do is not possible the best solution is what JaidynM posted above.
