Can't change Desktop Background by right clicking on any image.

I can use any of the backgrounds provided in Change Desktop Background in Appearance and Customization, but when I try to rightclick on an image such as in Wallpaper websites, It will not change. There is no error message. When I hit save as Desktop background in the pop-up, nothing happens.

Hi Welcome aboard !

You may download the wallpaper to your computer, and then right click and set as desktop background.

Well I'll try that, but it sure is a pain, when it was a one-click process before, and I still don't know what is causing this. Seems like there should be a simple fix!

Yes, I am the administrator. However, where do I go to check whether it has been disabled by mistake?

If there is any problem in system that preventing it, you may run the system file checker to solve it automatically.

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

If you have custom theme, start buttons etc, the scan will revert those back to the default, and you are to apply those again.

No, I just tried your suggestion and it still does not work. Thanks though. I think there is something wrong with my user id. On perhaps related issues, I can no longer "try-on" firefox personas, some of my icons on my desktop are now grayed out, (although they still work,) and when I go into my windows live mail, a RSS feed pop-up shows up before it loads new emails. I also, could not work rhapsody. Rhapsody tech support had to set up a whole new user i.d. for it to work (after literally 2 hours on the phone with them.) I had just got my computer back from the shop. they removed a virus and updated everything. Can't help but think it had something to do with some of the updates not being compatible? surely all these problems must have something in common....
