Windows 7: A Very Minor but attractive Windows 7 style(skin)!

again, it's all pretty easy to do. just grab Resource Hacker, and a free image editor like Photofiltre, and you can have it tweaked just the way you like it in an hour... taskbar is defined by several images since it can be placed all around the screen, and since it has dark gradients on the end, so it's a little tricky. but removing the strips is a 30 second operation...

It's actually a matter of taking out the White + Black outline, and replacing them with a simple Black-To-White gradient. I'll see what I can do.

well the outlines only take up 2 pixels, so a gradient really doesn't mean much... i think the dark line you see is actually part of the shadow, which is something else entirely.

but no matter, i can replicate it perfectly for the thumbnail window once i get my window 7 machine back.

there actually is a visual style on deviantart with a rounded taskbar. its pretty bad though...

This is exactly what I've been looking for! It's excellent, very subtle but makes all the difference in the world. Those thick glass borders used to drive me crazy in Vista and I was totally turned off by the fact that they didn't do much about them in Windows 7.

for some reason i cant get it to work, it turn my theme to basic >.<
