corrupted start button and other bmp issues

Hello, I have an issue to where my start button, folder bmps and the space in the folders are altered. I am not sure how to change them. Here is a picture of what it looks like:

I would really appreciate any assistance. I thought it would be nice to have a new theme but I do not like it and when I tried to change back-- it gave me those results and they have begun to annoy me. I learned my lesson... I wish I wasn't in a haste to install it and I should've written it down. I do not wish to do a system restore since a lot of my work and records are on here.

Thank you

Welcome to the Seven Forums
Try Option 2 of this tutorial SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker it will not harm any data or programs, it will try to repair system files.
After doing the SFC scan do this Icon Cache - Rebuild
A System Restore will not harm any data but any programs that have been installed after the restore date will be lost.

Actually those are the elements of a well known third party theme by Mr. Grim .

Do what Jerry said, it will revert almost everything to default .... and report back which elements still contains the theme's . Those are to be done manually .

Classic Start Menu: Start Button appears doubled

All looks & works fine except that the Start button itself looks like TWO buttons -- one atop the other and just slightly out of alignment (screenshot here)....
