Lost the use of Aero theme?

    Here is the Aero theme, if this doesn't help, you probably will need to do a repair install.

    aero.zip

    Place this file in C:/Windows/Resources/Themes.

    Infinite: That didn't work..... on to the repair.

    I don't know whether to ask this on the repair install thread or not; I have an OEM system builder pack will that work for the repair install? The disk says it has the anytime upgrade included....

    Not sure about that. You could try this:
    Clean Install with a Upgrade Windows 7 Version

    It should be OK if it is the same edition of Windows you are repairing. Your key will only activate one specific edition.

    I experienced a similar situation, i.e. had problems with Areo effects after I'd updated my Intel graphics card driver. In my case a simple return to the previous one did it all right without having to resort to a reinstall.

    Anyway, keep up the good work, fellas.

    This is not good news.....

    Its back.

    I started the computer today and its reverted to the old state...
