The Aero theme of windows 7 has suddenly stopped working.
I had just updated my video card when it stopped working, it is a Nvidia gtx440.
If any other information is needed please tell me and I'll supply it

Did a Repair install to solve the problem.

you should see a troubleshoot option like this. troubleshoot to see if it solves the problem and post back
I have used this method before to no avail, Here is my attempt i just made (attached)
I have also tried the 'change to basic/high contrast and back again' fix. Which also did not work.
In addition,
First, go to services ... (type services in the search bar on start menu, click the result) search for Desktop Window manager there, and see it it is stopped . If so, start it.
You may look at this tutorial Transparency - Enable Full Clear Glass Transparency too.
Service is enabled. Also, that tutorial is just a mod? not really a fix.
I really dont know a real fix for a DWM related issue other than Repair Install .
But there certainly are other fixes . I asked for more help in this thread ... please wait a bit ... they will come.
do a SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker and restart if and after it finds violations.
Nothing, again.
go to my computer>system properties>advanced system settings> on the performance settings, check if you have enable desktop composition and enable transparent glass tick marked
