Taskbar and upper status bar went from transparrent to opaque

It just happened as i was reading something online, from a SAFE site...
    I'm scared as i didn't do anything.
After a few minutes it got back transparrent.
While it was opaque, everything went like hell, just like if i had about 64 mbs of ram....

Its pretty normal where a program may not be compatible with the Aero Theme, it may well have been something on the site that triggered something that was incompatible.... however as you said it happened from a website it wouldn't hurt to give your pc a quick scan just for the sake of curiosity

It can happen on occasion, just happened to me a few minutes ago. Windows will disable aero if it thinks you are low on resources (even if you are not, as I was not). It can be triggered by a website, or a video, or graphic for instance. It will usually recover by itself after a few minutes. Only if it keeps happening is it an issue. usually the 1st thing suggested then is to update the video driver (unless indeed you have low system resources). A Guy
