Quick question

How can I change the icon of my library folder, sort of like this: http://www.sevenforums.com/attachmen...reate-name.jpg
The icon for his new library isn't the ugly default one!

[(Related?) side note: you add more "templates" to your folder optimization options... I only see the default five, but not "internet" and "downloads" like in the tutorials.]

Hello Cal, and welcome to Seven Forums.

That was the old default New Library icon in the pre-beta builds of Windows 7. MS has since changed it to the one you see now. There is no way that we know of to change that icon.

Same with the folder templates. There is no way to add a template, only to customize an existing one by changing the folder view settings for it.

Sorry,
Shawn

Hello everyone.

I'm afraid it's going to be a newbie's question but how can I direct the path that bogo mentions (in WinMatrix) to a specific icon?

I guess there are lot of them in "%SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll" since it's the path it reads on the change icon option in the customize tab of the folder properties. Is it possible to get one of them or do I need to get separate icon files to fill the aforementioned path?

Thanks in advance.

P.S.
Excuse my English.
