Windows 7: Help needed, I've googled myself to near-death

Help needed, I've googled myself to near-death

So... All I want to do is change the system clock's (in the system tray) font color to black. It is impossible to see if I decide to make my window color white (which matches my current desktop/rainmeter setup).

I know that "StyleBuilder" or something will work, but I'm not going to pay money for that... I don't actually want to make my own styles.

I came across a site that instructed me on editing the registry to change the color, but it didn't work (I'm assuming it was for Vista, not Windows 7).

So.... ya.... It's so simple isn't it? I want the system clock font color to be black.

Thanks for any help!!

-Graeme

Welcome to the Seven Forums

You are in luck I have Windows Style Builder

If you are using the default aero theme I can change that for you, using Windows Style Builder and post it here in a zip folder.
If you are using a custom theme you will need to ask the theme maker. It's not cool to change someone else work.
&
This will be a custom theme and you will need to do 1 of these 2 ways of Enabling custom themes for it to work.
Enabling Custom Themes - Windows 7
Or
Theme - How to Apply Custom Themes
All I need from you is a name for the theme.
Let me know.

Huzzah to the shopkeep!

So, ya, the guy said I could modify it, just as long as I don't upload it. And I have no need for that, so ya.

What do I go about doing with the style? I suppose I could just point you to where I downloaded it from?

I still feel a little uncomfortable editing someone else's work, post a link to the theme and I will communicate with the theme maker and see what happens.
