    That's one of the most widely used photoshop technique, Jaidyn !
    First, make a elliptical selection over your design, in a different layer

    Then, edit the gradient ... from white to transparent

    Hold shift, and drag gradient, from the top to teh bottom of teh selection

    Finally, apply a little Gaussian blur
