    Custom drive icon?

    Hi,
under XP, I had my own .reg file and an icon library, so that the drives of the card reader would have nice icons in the explorer. However, adding the info and copying the file does not do the trick in Win7... has something changed? What can I do to get my own icons back?

    Thanks in advance!

the particular key is in a different location in the win 7 reg file. Maybe someone who has done this knows where.

on a different matter. could you fill in your system specs (lower left corner) so that we know what kind of hardware you have

    Markstar,

You should be able to use the same method below in Windows 7 to change a drive icon to a custom one.

    Hope this helps,

Awesome - thank you! It appears that my .reg-file was correct (which I already guessed because the icons did change from the default value to the look when there is an image missing (see below).

I know now what the problem was: I used 96*96 for my custom icon library and apparently you have to have 256*256 (wow, that is a quarter of small screens!!! ). So I guess I'll be doing work with IconWorkshop.

    Thanks again!
