    disabling windows libraries

since i couldn't find a post linking to the relevant information, here you guys go, should you wish to disable libraries like i did.

Libraries Folder - Add or Remove from Navigation Pane

    and

Libraries Desktop Icon - Add or Remove

    and yes, it works fine.

now if i could only find a sure fire way to disable the favorites link in explorer >=( ah well. one of these days.

I just came across this site with a reg file that can remove libraries and if needed restore them. More details at http://www.askvg.com/how-to-disable-libraries-feature-in-windows-7

This only removes libraries from the Navigation Pane, but not from the Save As menu. Anyone knows how to completely disable the feature?

Its not a disable, more a hide.
Download ShExView from NirSoft. Disable the "Library Folder Context Menu" entry.
While you're there download ShellMenuView as well.
Both very handy Utes. Both very small.
No PC should be without them.
