| Windows 7: Icon-problem in libraries |

Icon-problem in libraries In former versions, we could set a CDs front as icon in our music-folder. Now in Windows 7 it does _allmost_ the same, but it wraps an ugly yellow foler around it, look at my example: http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/5963/udklipd.jpg
How do I change it back, so the CD-cover is used as icon, as in XP?
Sorry if somebody else has asked this. I have tried to search for it, but my English might not be good enough, as I did not find anything. | My System Specs |

Hi Sven, unfortunately the folders you are seeing are the Windows 7 standard. Windows 7 has been refined to include folders in the icons in order to show that it is infact a folder. I would have a look at what moinmoin suggests but if you have a large music base then it would take an extremely long time to sort out. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Compaq Desktop OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 CPU AMD Sempron Dual Core Memory 3GB Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 Screen Resolution 1024x768 Hard Drives 150GB Sata |

I can't get it to work. I have tried to point to the path as moinmoin wrote, but then Windows 7 just gives an error saying, that the file don't contain any icons. The file I tried with is the .jpgfile that Windows 7 uses to show the default icon (the cover) | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 CPU Intel E6850 3,0 running 3,6 Ghz Motherboard Gigabyte DS4 P35 Memory 2x2 and Gb Corsair PC6400 CAS5 - 4GB total Graphics Card Nvidia Geforce 260GTX Sound Card Creative X-Fi Fata1ty Gamer Extreme Monitor(s) Displays Samsung 2493hm Screen Resolution 1920*1200 Keyboard Logitech G15 (blue backlight) Mouse Logitech G5 laser PSU Zahlman 850HP Case Shg Cooling Evo 120 Hard Drives Intel X25-M SSD for system

Have you make the icon with IcoFX or Axialis IconWorkshop?
You need all size from 32x32 to 256x256 (Vistaicons) Quote: I would have a look at what moinmoin suggests but if you have a large music base then it would take an extremely long time to sort out. Sure. But this is the only opportunity. | My System Specs | | |

Windows 7 uses the small .jpgfile in the folder (mediaplayer downloads this jpg-file when making the library-entry, and uses it in Music-library view in Mediaplayer)to make the view with the big yellow folder around the CD-cover.
Same way I did in XP, and there it showed up as the .jpg as icon. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 CPU Intel E6850 3,0 running 3,6 Ghz Motherboard Gigabyte DS4 P35 Memory 2x2 and Gb Corsair PC6400 CAS5 - 4GB total Graphics Card Nvidia Geforce 260GTX Sound Card Creative X-Fi Fata1ty Gamer Extreme Monitor(s) Displays Samsung 2493hm Screen Resolution 1920*1200 Keyboard Logitech G15 (blue backlight) Mouse Logitech G5 laser PSU Zahlman 850HP Case Shg Cooling Evo 120 Hard Drives Intel X25-M SSD for system

If you display the library and click on the light blue Arange by: "Folder" on the top right you can select various options one of which is album (which is the one shown in my screen-shot)
One thing to check is that the library is set to display as "Music", (the default), as the options available on this dropdown vary for others such as documents | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Real World Computing (Me + a little help from Acer) OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 + x86 + Windows 8 x64 CPU AMD Phenom II X6 1035T 2.6 GHz Motherboard Aspire M3400 Memory 4Gb PC10600 DDR3 1333 MHz Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce 315 512MB Sound Card OnBoard - Realtek High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays Philips 32" HDTV, (HDMI) + 26" TV (VGA) Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 @60Hz + 1360 x 768 @60Hz Keyboard Microsoft Wireless 800 or Stock Acer, (depends where I sit) Mouse Microsoft Wireless 800 or Stock Acer, (depends where I sit) PSU Stock (400W) Case Acer M3400 Cooling Stock Hard Drives 500 GB Seagate ST3500418AS SATA II
