Weird black menu in control panel

Well, I have asked Bongo to have a look . He must have a better solution of your issue.

Have you tried going back to the default Aero theme?

Post a link to the theme you installed.

Did you change any system files when you installed the theme such as shell32.dll?

Answer these three questions and we'll go from there.

Earlier in this thread you posted that you ran the SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker when it was done did you get this that is highlighted in red in the screenshot below "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations"


Are you having this trouble on a 32-bit system for a 64-bit system?
