Windows 7 - Auto Hide Task Bar

    Windows 7 - Auto Hide Task Bar


    I am looking for a one click shortcut to turn on / off the Auto Hide Task Bar setting.

    Currently I right click the task bar and choose properties. Then check or uncheck the box for auto hide the task bar.







    Something tells me that someone has already slain this dragon with a batch file or powershell script.

    Welcome to Seven Forums EddieJ. This should work on Seven, if not, try in compatibility mode with Vista.

    Or you can use Autohotkey alone, with a script

Windows taskbar won't auto hide

Windows taskbar is often really pesky and won't hide even if I checked the "auto hide the taskbar" in the taskbar properties.
I set the Taskbar tab (in Taskbar & Start menu Properties) to Auto-hide the Taskbar. When I select Apply, the taskbar dips and disappears for a second and then comes right back and stays there. Is there a way to make the auto-hide work? W7 Home 6.1 / 7600 Thank you

Hi, I'm running 7 x64 and I like the idea of having the task bar disappearing when I don't want it. I went into the options and checked Auto Hide. It was working fine but then sometimes it gets stuck and doesn't disappear like it should. What is likely to be the cause of this? I...
Just a curious question What do most people set their taskbar in W7 -- Bottom, Top, LHS, RHS, autohide etc. Totally useless info but just curious. I have mine at the TOP and on Autohide. Cheers jimbo
