Areo preview blank for network documents

I noticed today that if I open up a document that is residing on a network drive, that in the aero peek, the document is not displayed just a white box with the application's icon inside.

Documents that are not on a network drive, peek just fine.

    Anybody else noticed this?

    hi SJHiker, welcome to sevenforums,

i've just quickly looked at some pictures and text files stored on my laptop - and aero peek shows the proper thumbnail here.

please fill in your system specs so we can see a bit more about your computer and os.

I think you are missing my question, in my case the documents (.pptx in this case) are stored on a network drive.

Additionally, if I open up a word doc on the network drive the aero peek works fine.

my laptop appears as a mapped network drive when i'm on my desktop.

i'm afraid i haven't got any pptx files to test with...is it only this filetype you are having this problem with?

and please tell us more about your hardware and os.
