Upgraded to W7 Home Premium, uninstalled Oceanis, can't change desktop

I upgraded from Windows 7 Starter to Home Premium yesterday. Unfortunatley. I forgot to uninstall Oceanis before upgrading. I uninstalled Oceanis after and now all I can get is a black screen. I know I remember changing the regedit when I installed Oceanis but don't know how to change it back. I have a Asus EEE PC 1005HA. Any help would be appreciated.

I would give this a try, SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

It will scan and try to fix corrupt files, you may have to run it a few times (with reboots in between) if it doesn't fix them all the first time.

Windows Vista™ Ultimate cannot be upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium.
I received this message: Windows Vista™ Ultimate cannot be upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium. You’ll need to reinstall any programs...

Ok. I've been looking for two hours for a solution to my problem that I am capable of doing without worrying that I'm going to ruin my computer. For some reason, I can't change my desktop background. The last (and only) time I changed it was in December, which is when I purchased the laptop. I...
