Folders in explorer show contents highlighted in yellow? [PLEASE HELP]

I believe this only started happening after using a custom theme for windows 7 and then removing it because on the other user accounts on my computer it showed this yellow thing. I would love to have it back to default.

    Hello Shinji

Try running this up to three times with reboots between - SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
That should put the original system files back that the theme messed up.

Thanks so much! I will try this asap.

EDIT: Ok, so I have already run into a problem. Here is a picture of an error I get when it gets to 7%.

When you run the SFC it will save the results in the CBS.log. You can save the results as a txt file, and post it here.

    Open a elevated command prompt

Start> In search box type cmd> Right click cmd.exe in results above and choose Run as administrator

    In the command prompt, type

    findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log >%userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt

    Enter

This will place the txt file on your desktop. Upload it here

Have you tried booting into safe mode and running the scan from there?

    Safe Mode

    OR

SFC /SCANNOW : Run in Command Prompt at Boot

On top of what A Guy said can you also supply a link to the theme you installed so I can get an idea of all the system files involved.

I'm not sure exactly which theme it was but the most recent one I used was "Leaf Visual Style for Windows 7" and before that it was one called "HUD RED" but I don't think I had a problem with that one.

I will now try to run the scan in safe mode.

EDIT: I have decided I will just back up whatever I need to keep and do a fresh install of windows. It's about time anyways.
