    How could i change an icon image in desktop?


    I would like to change an icon image and replace it with a generic image I have d/l from the web.

    How do I do that?

    You should be able to change the icon image by right clicking on the icon, going to properties, and then clicking on the change icon button. From this menu you should be able to find the generic image you want to use via windows explorer.

    I have followed the instructions in the tutorial BUT...


    I was unable to change icons for "folders". It only seems to work with software icons. but not with any other icons existent in deskto

    I am in windows 7 of course, any new discoveries since the older posts from 2010?

    If you right click the folder> Properties> Customize> Change icon?
