Windows 7 Stuck on Basic. Help Please.

    In you first post you stipulated that you ran Kaspersky tdsskiller.
    IMHO once you have a rootkit infection your computer will never be proper unless you do a complete wipe and a clean install.

    Next time do NOT use the task killer!

    immediately after installing AND updating Win 7, AND BEFORE installing any thing else:
    Perform a full system image backup so that you can always return, painful as it maybe to a working system.

    yh looks like im gonna have to reinstall but ill have to buy myself a external hard drive first.

    I agree 100%. You can get rid of a rootkit or virus, but you cannot repair the damage they have done, and without a wipe of the drive, you cannot be certain it was completely removed.
